Privacy Policy
Effective October 9, 2026
Fieldhouse Media is a personal sports site run by Landrey. This page explains, in plain English, what information the site collects and what happens to it. The short version: the only personal information I collect is your email address if you sign up, I only use it to send you Fieldhouse Media emails, and I never sell it.
What I collect
- Your email address, if you sign up. When you use the "Get my takes in your inbox" form, I save your email address, the date you signed up and which page you signed up on.
- Basic connection details to stop spam. To block bots from flooding the sign-up form, the site briefly keeps a scrambled (hashed) version of your internet address. It can't be turned back into your address, and it's deleted after an hour.
- Standard server logs. Like almost every website, my web host automatically records basic technical details of each visit, such as your internet address, browser type and the pages you open. I use these only to keep the site running and secure.
I don't ask for your name, location, phone number or payment information, and you don't need an account to read anything on the site.
How I use your email
- To send you a welcome email when you sign up.
- To send you new articles, updates and my takes on baseball, football and golf.
I will never sell, rent or trade your email address. I may use a trusted email service to send emails, and if I do, it can only use your address to deliver Fieldhouse Media emails for me.
Unsubscribing and removing your information
Every email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. One click removes you from the list. You can also send a message to @fieldhouse_media on Instagram and ask me to remove your email address or tell you what information I have about you, and I'll take care of it.
Cookies and outside services
- No tracking cookies. The public pages of the site don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
- Fonts. The site's fonts load from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google to download them. See Google's privacy policy.
- Share buttons. The "Post on X" and "Share on Facebook" buttons are plain links. Nothing is sent to those sites unless you click one.
- Instagram. Links to @fieldhouse_media take you to Instagram, which has its own privacy policy.
- Search. The search bar runs inside your browser. What you type isn't saved or sent anywhere.
Keeping your information safe
Sign-ups are stored in a private folder on the web server that can't be opened from the internet. Only I can see the list, behind a password.
Kids' privacy
Fieldhouse Media is meant for a general audience and isn't directed at children under 13. I don't knowingly collect email addresses from children under 13. If you think a child has signed up, message @fieldhouse_media on Instagram and I'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
If I change how the site handles your information, I'll update this page and the date at the top.
